The focus of this visit is to trace the
development of perhaps the most infamous events in the history
of the world to date - the Holocaust.
Flight
from London Luton or London Gatwick to Berlin Schoenefeld.
Check in to hotel followed by an evening cruise on the River
Spree.
Visit to Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, 30 km to the north
of Berlin near Oranienburg and then on to the 1936 Olympic
Stadium. In the afternoon we will visit the Wannsee Memorial
Museum – the infamous villa where the decision was taken
to implement the final solution.
Walking tour of the city to take in the Reichstag, the Brandenburg
Gate, the newly constructed Holocaust memorial, Potsdamer
Platz, Checkpoint Charlie, the Nazi Air Ministry, the site
of the former Gestapo headquarters, and the recently opened
Jewish museum. Evening visit to the Fernsehturm TV tower.
Check out of hotel. Opportunity for free time in central Berlin
before mid afternoon flight back to either Luton or Gatwick
