Travel
from your pick up point to our hotel in Ypres (typically Novotel
or the Ariane Hotel). Walking tour of the town to include
St George’s Church, Ypres Cloth Hall, Lille Gate and
Ramparts Cemetery, the Menin Gate. In the evening attend the
Last Post Ceremony, Menin Gate.
Visit the world renowned In Flanders Field Museum, Ypres and
then on to Essex Farm Cemetery and the newly excavated Yorkshire
Trench at Boezinghe. Travel across the Pilkem Ridge to Langemark
German Cemetery and visit the site of the first gas attack
at Vancouver Corner. Finally on to Passchendaele and the largest
Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery in the world at Tyne Cot.
Visit to the Hill 62 Trench Museum at Sanctuary Wood and then
on to the mine craters at Hill 60. From here travel to Poperinghe
to visit Talbot House and the Town Hall. Visit Lijssenthoek
Cemetery and then on to Calais for our return journey to UK.
